What is a Fitness Check-Up?
It is a goal-oriented physical fitness evaluation. If the goal is health, the protocol tests and evaluates fitness components related to overall well-being. If the goal is sport performance, the assessment focuses on physical components specific to the athletic discipline.
Who Can Take a Fitness Check-Up?
There is an appropriate Fitness Check-Up protocol for everyone. For health purposes, there are protocols for Mini (ages 3-7), Junior (ages 8-17), Adult (ages 18-65), and Senior (ages 65+). For performance purposes, ATP Pro Tennis Check-Up protocols have been developed for adult and child tennis players.
How Is a Fitness Check-Up Performed?
After booking an appointment with your selected center or trainer, you'll prepare by following a simple guide provided to you in advance. At your appointment, the certified trainer will first perform a basic health screening. Then, the relevant exercise tests will be administered according to your personalized Fitness Check-Up protocol. Once all tests are completed, the trainer enters the data into the system, and your detailed report is generated and delivered to you instantly.
Do I Need to Be Fit to Take a Fitness Check-Up?
No. The Fitness Check-Up is not designed for competition — it’s meant to help you understand your current physical condition. It provides an objective picture of where you stand, whether you exercise regularly or not at all.
Will I receive a training program after the Fitness Check-Up?
The Exercise Prescription service is a separate service offered independently from the Fitness Check-Up. It helps you identify your priority development areas based on your assessment results and supports you in creating the most suitable exercise strategy according to the time you can allocate.
Why is the Fitness Check-Up different from other tests?
Fitness Check-Up evaluates your physical fitness with a holistic approach. This method has been researched and patented in the US, Europe, and Turkey, determined to have no equivalent worldwide.
How long does a fitness check-up take?
While the health-focused Adult Fitness Check-Up takes approximately 1 hour, the performance-focused ATP Pro Tennis Check-Up lasts 3 hours. The content and therefore duration of each Fitness Check-Up protocol varies. You can find detailed information on the services page.
Do I need to make special preparations for a Fitness Check-Up?
In order for your assessment process to be error-free, the general things to pay attention to are: not engaging in strenuous exercise, not consuming alcohol, and getting good sleep the day before the appointment; not eating, drinking coffee or smoking for 3 hours prior. A guide showing exactly how you should prepare is emailed to you when you schedule your appointment.
