Journey to Recognize and Solve Health and Fitness Issues

With over 25 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, I quickly realized that there is a significant disconnect between how we view fitness and health and the actual impact they have on our lives.
I have experienced that what society often focuses on are fleeting trends, performance goals, and frankly, appearance; while the lasting health gains are ignored and misunderstood.

Many people chase popular trends without fully understanding their own needs or knowing how to choose the right method to maintain their health in the long run...

My health and fitness journey began in an academic setting. Right from the start, I noticed a significant gap in education. Despite studying physical education and sports sciences, I found that almost no training was provided on the role of exercise in improving health and preventing diseases. The curriculum was focused on sports and performance; however, it did not sufficiently emphasize the use of exercise as a tool for long-term health and quality of life.

This awareness deeply impacted me when I started working part-time at a gym during my student years. What I observed was quite striking: none of the trainers, including myself, had the knowledge or equipment to meet the health-related needs of gym members. There was a critical missing piece in the industry: the understanding that exercise is a tool not just to enhance athletic performance but to improve overall health.

I was determined to fill this gap. I changed my path and began to specialize in exercise and health sciences. I took advanced training to deeply investigate the vital link between exercise and health and eventually became an academic in this field.

During my academic tenure, I once again saw that there was a significant gap between theory and real-life applications. This gap affects not only the development of trainers and coaches but also the overall health level of society. Therefore, I decided to develop a system that could truly make a difference in people's lives by equipping professionals with both scientific knowledge and practical tools.

This awareness led to the birth of the Fitness Check-Up System. This system provides clear, actionable insights related to health and fitness for both trainers and individuals.
The primary aim of the Fitness Check-Up System is to establish a shared, measurable definition of fitness.

At the heart of the system, FitScore allows for a clear identification of what is prioritized based on the individual's needs and goals by bringing together different fitness components.

Until today, there has been no universally accepted definition for the concept of fitness. Some define fitness by cardiovascular capacity, such as VO2 max; while others define it through strength levels.

Even some world-renowned prestigious institutions do not have a complete consensus on exercise prescriptions and standards within their own certification systems. This causes significant confusion within the industry.

This is where the system I developed with my team comes into play: This system aims to eliminate this long-standing unresolved issue by offering clarity, standardization, and a personalized approach to fitness.
